So, a little about me. My name is Angel, I was born in New Zealand and raised in England. I'm married, with 7 children, 2 dogs, and a cat! I have had 3 children in England and 4 in the USA, experiencing medical professionals and practices in both countries.
From a very young age, I have always had a heartfelt desire to serve others and in this specialty of Doula. I truly feel I have found where my heart is happy.
My training started in 2002 when I attended my first workshop on Optimal Fetal Positioning in Tauranga. I completed the course and continued with my life, meeting my husband, starting a family, and then moving to the United States to continue this wonderful adventure.
From 2018-2024 I invested heavily in dual training and certified as a Birth & Bereavement Doula, Trauma Debrief Specialist, Infant Massage Instructor, Gilligans Guide Provider and Obstetrical Aromatherapy provider.
After thirteen years in America, my family is moving back home to Tauranga having purchased our new home.
I do hope you will allow me to serve you. Don't hesitate to get in touch with me through the Contact Me page, email, or call me directly to arrange a free no-obligation meeting.
The name Little Arrows started with my favorite bible verse,
3 Children are a heritage from the Lord,
offspring a reward from Him
4 Like arrows in the hands of a warrior
are children born in one’s youth.
5 Blessed is the man
whose quiver is full of them.
Psalm 271:3-5
7 Kids (6 Pictured) 11 pregnancies, 4 preemies, 3 continents, 3 OBGYNS, 3 teams of midwives, and my Birth Partner. I'm truly blessed. Some of my pregnancies were super simple, some were high risk, some were just miserable. There are details I regret, decisions I wish I had made, and information I wish I had known. All of this now serves to only make my mission to help empower women in their births even stronger.
My name is Julia Davidson. I am a mom to four crazy little boys and wouldn't have it any other way! Each of their unique stories has grown my love for birth work.
After graduating from university with a degree in social work, my husband and I moved to Beijing, China for three years where we enjoyed teaching ESL to middle and high school students. My first baby boy was born in Beijing! This journey was difficult, and we lacked the support we needed. After our time in Beijing, we moved to Minnesota. In Minnesota we had two more baby boys. A doula supported us during both of those births.
I loved using a doula for my own births. I felt encouraged, supported, and heard. I knew that I wanted to help other families. I certified through DONA International shortly after the birth of my second in 2017 and have been attending births for the last 6 years. I also completed my childbirth educator training through Lamaze International.
